The word Nåstrond has its dark origin from the norse myths as one of the most negative and fearsome places in the world order. In June 1993, three men came together in an effort to promote their views of life and death through the use of music. The group called itself Trident. In the fall, the band lost two of its four members and changed its name to Nåstrond. Following the release of two demos ("The Black Winter" and "From A Black Funeral Coffin") and an E.P. ("Digerdoden"), the band signed to Napalm Records. During their time with the label, they released "Toteslaut" and "Age of Fire".
