THIRDMOON emerged from its obscure beginnings in 1994. However, commitments with other bands kept them from recording their debut full-length release Grotesque Autumnal Weepings(CCP Records) until 1997. Noting the potential of Thirdmoon, Wolfgang, Milan, and Markus decided to give-up their side projects in order to concentrate more fully on the task at hand. Shortly after signing with Napalm Records, they released Aquis Submersus in October 1998. The band describes their sound as brutal and melodic dark metal.
