ANTICHRISIS stems from Moonshadow's (vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard) solo project initiated in January 1994. Joined by the talents of guest vocalist Willowcat, Antichrisis recorded their debut CD Cantara Anachoreta in 1996. Following Willowcat's departure, Moonshadow was joined by Lisa (vocals) and Näx (uilleānn pipes, bodhrān, keyboards, guitars, mandolin, tin whistle). The unexpected and tragic death of Moonshadow in the winter of 1997 required the addition of Sid (vocals, guitars, bass, drums, percussion, keyboards) to complete the new permanent line-up. Despite the obvious hardships and vast changes, Antichrisis managed to release a second CD A Legacy of Love on Black Rose Productions in the spring of 1998. This release became an obituary for the band's prime mover, Moonshadow, as well as the chronicle of a great love and its loss. |
