 With a heavy heart, we regrettably announce the passing of the former Vision of Atlantis vocalist, Nicole Bogner, on 5 January 2012 at the age of 27. Our thoughts are with her family and especially her young daughter. VoA has released the following statement:
"In deep mourning and with the utmost respect, we must notify all Visions of Atlantis fans that our former vocalist Nicole Bogner has passed away at the age of 27 after battling disease over a long period of time. The band is shocked at the loss of an old VoA family member, but also wants to express sincere gratitude to Nicole for not only 5 years of sharing a musical vision, but also for more than a decade of friendship inside and outside of Visions of Atlantis. Without Nicole Visions of Atlantis would have never been born and her unique voice and personality were a big part of VoA. With Nicole a great part of Visions of Atlantis died, as well.  Polish extreme metal machine HATE has inked a worldwide deal with Napalm Records. The band's frontman ATF Sinner has issued the following statement:
"We are really proud to have found a new partner with Napalm Records for our future endeavours! Even though we have been touring intensively in support of our latest album ‘Erebos’, we have already started writing new material for a 2012 release. It sounds very promising to me, and with this new record deal, I am quite sure it will definitely signify a step in the right direction.  In light of recent events, we would like to announce that Napalm Records will no longer offer its products via streaming sites such as Spotify, Simfy, etc. As previously reported on various online publications, the income generated through streaming is so insignificant that neither we, as a record company, nor our artists are able to further support this method of distribution. We have absolutely nothing against innovative software or new methods of distribution, but do object to price models that endanger our existence and that of our bands. We hope that our customers and fans will understand the necessity of this decision. If possible, we will continue to offer snippet versions via streaming sites, enabling fans to preview two songs of our current and upcoming releases.
