THE SWORD will be going to the UK and Europe in June to play the major festivals in support of their latest release, "Apocryphon". Included in the 3 week run are appearances at the UK’s Download Festival, Nova Rock in Austria, Flame Fest in Italy, Earthshaker Days in Switzerland, Hellfest in France, Azkena Rock in Spain, Graspop in Belgium, Metal Town in Sweden, and Roskilde in Denmark. Off day headline shows will be performed in Germany, France, Spain, and Luxembourg. Two shows in Holland will be in support of CLUTCH.

Hereby we would like to start showing you our new album cover in a countdown jigsaw puzzle. The album will be entitled "Ravenous Plague" and is set to be released on July 26th on Napalm Records.
The band is genuinely proud to announce that composer and mastermind Jo Blankenburg has written a piece for this album as well, exclusively for LEGION OF THE DAMNED.
Jo Blankenburg is a German composer based in Los Angeles. He writes music for film and motion picture advertising. Some of his most popular tracks have been used in the advertising campaigns of "The Hunger Games", "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", "X-Men: First Class", and "How To Train Your Dragon" among many others.

After the release of "The Grandiose Nowhere" in 2010 and the following tour in 16 countries around the globe, including destinations like South America, China or Spain, where the band experienced unforgettable memories and groundbreaking events, the guys revolving around mastermind Oliver Niklas took a break to concentrate on the arrangements for songs on the new album. Beneath festivalgigs in WACKEN, the MERA LUNA Festival, ARTmania, the WGT and many others, the band has been working hard on the 10th studioalbum, wich will be released in May 2013, which is the 20th anniversary of the band. In addition, Napalm and LACRIMAS PROFUNDERE renewed their co-operation with a new record-deal.
